Three people stuck on a boat trying to get to Jarada: Qasim, Sara and Abo Ali. The engine is failing, the fuel is missing and their personalities clash. If they don't find a way, they won't reach Jarada or get back safely.

Sara is desperate to reach a birthday party on Jarada, the sandbar that surfaces off Bahrain's west coast, and Abo Ali is the fisherman she talks into taking her. He agrees. They sail.
Moments out, they find Qasim asleep on the boat. Abo Ali now has a decision that is not his to want: turn back and put the boy ashore, or carry on to Jarada with Sara and the clock she is watching.
The decision gets taken away from them. The engine refuses to start. Sara tightens; Abo Ali tries to settle her by handing her a line to fish with, and that ends badly too. Then they work out what is actually wrong. The boat is out of fuel, and the spare stored on board is gone.
Three people from three different places, on one boat, surrounded by water, each carrying their own reason for being there.
An innocent girl. Dramatic and arrogant; because of her family she does not like being told no, and will do anything to get what she wants. She wants to catch her friend's birthday.
A fisherman. Caring but short-tempered; his environment has made him strict, and also understanding. He wants to feed his family, and ends up in a very strange situation.
A careless kid. Reckless but smart, and missing a father figure, which is how life catches up with him. He wants to buy himself a motorcycle, and to learn how money is earned properly.
By the end it shows that what a person can be missing is guidance and support.
Ali Alshoog grew up around these people and saw, witnessed and heard their struggles.
There are not any films that discuss these types of situations and these people.
Ali Alshoog's team already has the crew, the script, the camera, the permit, the locations, the boat and the actors. What is missing is the money to shoot: BHD 200 for equipment, 200 for boat costs, 200 for cast and 100 for crew.
At BHD 700 this is the smallest ask at the Pitch Expo, which means a handful of tiers genuinely closes it. Every tier and every merch item sends its margin straight to the production.
Student Film Festival Bahrain 26 merchandise. Buy any of it here and the margin goes straight to Al Jarada Al Dhayea. Pick it up at the festival or have it shipped.
